I started off with a big move! I uprooted myself and my daughter and started over in a new city 4 hours away from where I was living in Barrie, Ontario & moved to Kingston. I was so grateful to have such a supportive family to get me through my first year. I literally came to Kingston with the clothes on my back & started from scratch! I continued working as an Insurance Broker at a local Broker's office in Kingston. I got my own apartment for myself & Shauna and then bought my car. At the end of 2015 I was promoted to Commercial Broker and have working hard to build up my career. Shauna is doing well in school and will soon be in the 8th grade!! I really don't know where the times goes!?
In March of this year I bought my first house of my own, after the financial struggles of being a single mom for the past couple years this was huge for me & I could not have done it without the amazing support I received from my family.
Although I have so much happiness in my life & so very much to be thankful for I still felt like something was missing. I began scrapbooking in 2007 and with everything life threw at me over the last few years I just didn't know how to juggle it all so scrapbooking was put on the back burner. I have missed the friendships I've built and the wonderful community and have recently jumped back into it.
